By accessing or using this service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Description of Service
OpenHEVCVideo provides a browser-based tool for opening local HEVC or H.265 video files. The service is designed for local playback and compatibility testing. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
No account or payment requirement
The current player experience does not require a user account or payment in order to open a local file. If that changes in the future, additional product-specific terms may apply to those features.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any party.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, code, or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
- Use the service to distribute malware, harmful payloads, or abusive automated traffic.
- Use the service in a way that attempts to exfiltrate data, bypass security controls, or misuse local file access expectations.
Local file usage
The product is intended to open a local video file inside your browser session. You remain responsible for the files you choose to open and for ensuring you have the legal right to use those files. We do not grant you any rights in third-party media simply because the player can attempt to open it.
Intellectual Property
The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
No warranty of universal playback
HEVC playback depends on the browser, operating system, container, codec profile, audio track, hardware path, and other technical conditions. We do not guarantee that every HEVC file, every container, every browser, or every device will play successfully.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the service, including failed playback, file incompatibility, or browser-specific behavior.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if we believe the service is being abused, attacked, or used in violation of these terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material updates will be reflected by changing the date at the top of this page.
